#59 - Masturbation: Edging
So far we’ve been exploring Jerking Off as the main masturbation activity. Before moving on to other masturbatory activities, I wanted to give you some hints on how to increase your pleasure during masturbation.
Under the name of Edging goes a set of techniques to increase the strength of your orgasm, that are usually applied to masturbation (however, you can also apply them in coupled sex but this needs a lot of “chemistry” with your partner). Edging can be referred with many names, and sometime is also called Tantric Masturbation.
Without entering into far away philosophies, the basic technique of Edging is to masturbate until you reach the edge of the orgasm, then stop. Let some time pass, and then re-start again. This way you achieve two results. The first is to gain several times a pleasurable experience (the one that immediately precedes the actual ejaculation is usually very intense), then you will also end up increasing your ejaculation experience.
Although it may seem simple in wording, this “stop and go” technique is quite advanced. Finding out the exact edge moment is not at all easy, because this comes just before the point of no return, when the ejaculation comes. - As soon as you reach the edge take away your hands and put them behind your head. Start counting down from 10 to 0. Slowly.
- Now restart masturbating, maybe changing technique if possible.
- Once you reach the edge, stop. Start counting down from 9 to 0.
- Repeat step 4 and 5 always diminishing the countdown.
It may sound easy, but it is not. The first time you practice, it may be good enough if your reach a countdown from 8 or 7. However the more you exercise, the more you should be able to reach the till the end of this technique.
Once you manage to accomplish this, you can add some more difficulty. So far I’ve advised you to get your hands out of the way immediately after reaching the edge. Once you manage to reach the last countdown you’re ready to move forward, an stop the counting.
